My SUP Line

I’m very excited to announce the launch of my Stand Up Paddle board line with SurfTech, it’s finally here! I wanted to design a board that fit a woman’s body better than current boards available and that was light enough for women to carry on their own.

The boards officially launch late August, then will be available in major retailers nationwide or you can pre-order now on

Here’s some photos from this morning at Malibu.

Much love,

    Hey Marisa,
I just checked out the SUP board. This may be my new hobby. I live on a lake in WI and this looks awesome! Thanks for making a woman’s design.

    Very cool!

Me, being the average Midwest non-surfer, what makes your boards fit women’s bodies better? When I see a surfer, I see a board and someone standing on it, but not much more. If you could give me some insight into that it would be awesome!

SUP is really taking off around here; I typically see as many women as men now. Some women are using larger boards made for men and just today I saw a girl struggle with her SUP board after coming in (she was fine in the water). The Marisa Miller SurfTech line of boards are 10′ long (“light enough for women to carry on their OWN”). Length/weight are important factors. Note also that in the demo pictures Marisa is apparently not leashed to the board. But if you use your board near surfers, etc. you will want to be leashed. Looks like a great line of SUP boards that should help introduce women to the sport!

Don’t forget that “Soul Surfer” the movie is now available on DVD. Be inspired by a great surfer, Bethany Hamilton, who lost her arm in a shark attack and because of her faith and fortitude (and with the support of a great family) has become a professional surfer. Ripping surfing scenes; Katy Perry’s “Firework”; and Bethany Hamilton– not to be missed.
